Frontend Engineer at Bengal Byte

We seek an exceptionally talented and highly motivated Frontend Engineer to join our innovative team. This role is designed for a proactive individual excited about designing functional and eye pleasing UI.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cutting-edge, responsive frontend applications (JavaScript/React/NextJS)
• Convert UI/UX designs into functional code with attention to detail and performance
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to implement new features
• Manage state using libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Integrate functional APIs and optimize the user experience
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to align on goals and technical solutions

Required Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Solid understanding of JavaScript and its frontend library like React (NextJs)
• Solid understanding of CSS and some of its framework (Tailwind, materialUI)
• Strong understanding of Graphs, Charts, Maps libraries
• Experience implementing auth (SSO and OAuth), Sockets
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Recoil, Zustand)
• Strong understanding of component-based architecture and reusable UI components
• Understanding of Python (FastAPI) is a plus
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud services will be considered as a plus
• Working with UI tools such as Figma

Experience & Soft Skills

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a proven ability to tackle complex challenges
• Taste for good looking UI and UX
• High ownership and accountability for projects and deliverables
• Effective prioritization under pressure with high-quality standards
• Demonstrable track record of outstanding projects, or an advanced degree in Computer Science from a reputable institution
• Strong English communication skills (all communication is conducted in English)
• Familiarity with Git and experience with distributed systems
• Open-source contributions (particularly relevant frameworks) are a plus
• Self-motivated, comfortable thriving in a fast-paced startup environment, and keen on continuous learning
